From the airport to Funchal
A taxi, Bolt or pre-booked transfer is easiest with luggage. A rental car gives more freedom in the west and north, while walking and taxis are often better in Funchal.
Travelling without a rental car
Walk, use buses or take a taxi around the centre, Lido and the seafront. For PR1, Pico do Areeiro and remote viewpoints, arrange a transfer or Bolt ahead.
